As part of our congregational growth, CVUU’s demand for Sexton duties has increased.  We are looking for folks to learn many of the duties that our fabulous Doug Throp performs. Our Marketing and Rental Task Force has also identified a need for Sextons to open and close for CVUU rentals.  Sextons will normally be paid for work associated with rentals and are required as part of the rental agreement.

We can’t clone Doug, but he has offered to do the next best thing – offer training! Sexton Training will be a roving workshop conducted by the amazing and multi-talented Doug Throp on the following dates and times:
Saturday, April 08, 2023, at 1030 AM.
Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:00 AM.

Please sign up for either session.  Folks will meet in the Sanctuary, there will be instructions on locking/unlocking of the vestibule doors, showing where lights and thermostats are in various spaces, more door security, and more, more, more!! This training is not just for Sextons. If your committee or group is meeting at the church, you need to know how to open and close the church. Doug is very patient and a great teacher.

We have a fabulous Sanctuary and an amazing sound system that goes with it. We have sanctuary sound, balcony sound, Wireless sound!
