It is hard to believe that we are at the end of September, heading into October, and embracing autumn.  The Soul Matters theme for October will be “The Practice of Courage.” Think about the small amounts of courage we have daily, and these small amounts help to change our immediate world.

  • Trunk or Treat is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, 5:00-6:00 PM.  Come in your favorite costume, decorate your vehicles, hand out candy, and go trick or treating.  All ages welcome!  Please register: https://coastalvirginiauu.breezechms.com/form/ef2b58

Children and Youth must be registered to be able to participate in RE.

  • Faith Development Classes (RE) meet at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary and then we dismiss.

Upcoming Adult Events:

  • Art Class for Adult Faith Formation with our own Lynda Simmons.  She is a member and an artist.  Come and explore your creativity and spirituality.  The class meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30-8:00 PM in the Social Hall.  Please register at: https://coastalvirginiauu.breezechms.com/form/5cf05294
  • Stitchers Group is up and running. It meets at church the second Thursday at 7:00 PM and the third Wednesday at noon of each month. All levels are welcome!
  • Exploring Interfaith Paths: To lead participants in interfaith based discussion, contemplation, and practices, and designed to encourage attendees to explore religions pathways in ways that build interconnectedness and communal understanding. Second Saturdays, (10/10, 11/14, 12/12, 1/9/27) 10-11:30 AM.
