Please stay after the service on Sunday, September 28th, for a presentation and a meeting with Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry. She will be visiting CVUU that weekend to study our finances, backed by her team from the UUA. After meeting with the CVUU Board of Directors, individuals, and committees directly connected with our finances, she and her team will make recommendations for our financial future. We have exciting opportunities ahead for our beloved community, and the Next Steps Weekend will be a wonderful start to that work this church year.
Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry loves helping congregations thrive. She brings over 20 years of parish ministry experience into her consulting with Stewardship for Us. Having served three congregations of various sizes, she has helped them align their vision with their values and foster generous giving to live into that vision. Rev. Lydia is most passionate about the individual and community transformation possible when people come together to create something none could have imagined alone.
This group’s work with a congregation always begins with a Next Steps Weekend (NSW), an intensive, comprehensive, and rapid onsite review of the congregation’s strengths, challenges, and capacities in terms of stewardship. The NSW yields insights that enable the Stewardship For Us consultant to formulate recommendations that enable the congregation to pursue its dreams through an effective and practical set of stewardship initiatives. The NSW is grounded in the notion that a congregation is a network of ministries, programs, systems, and people; successful stewardship must be holistically designed for that network. The output of the NSW is a thorough report presenting the consultant’s analysis and recommendations, typically including short- and long-term actions that result in immediate impact and long-lasting value.
