Youth Group Information-

Youth:

This Sunday

This Sunday you will need one piece of watercolor paper (found in your RE @ Home Kit), the watercolor palette (found in your RE @ Home Kit), a cup of water, and a pencil. After our lesson, high schoolers will play a Jackbox Game and middle schoolers will dive into Roblox.

Before Sunday

Find a quiet spot either outside or in your home with your journal and a writing utensil. Take a few moments to do a quick breathing exercise. Breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold. Do the breathing exercise four to six times. Then use your journal to record your response to this week’s prompt:

What role does religion or spirituality play in your life?

It might be helpful to first define what religion and spirituality mean to you. It’s ok to not have a clear answer. Religion and spirituality are a journey, and our answers will change and shift as we move through life. Write down what’s true for you now.

Reminder: Our journal prompts for this month are taken from Michelle Obama’s “Becoming: A Guided Journal”

Teen Coffee Hour Is Back!

We’re bringing back the teen coffee hour! Our teen coffee hour takes place the last Sunday of the month. During the coffee hour, UU youth from congregations throughout VA join us for discussion, games, and to build our Beloved Community beyond CVUU’s wall (or zoom). To switch it up we’ve partnered with the other UU congregations in the Joseph Jordan Cluster to share leading duties. This month’s coffee hour will be led by the Fredericksburg UU congregation’s DRE and youth.  Join us on April 25th at 12:30 PM to get to know more UU youth! Teen Coffee Hour is open to all youth ages 13-18. Zoom information will be shared in next week’s email.
