Racial Justice Workshop

The next Racial Justice Workshop begins with a 4-hour Saturday session, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., plus four consecutive Tuesday evenings (Feb. 4, 11,18 and 25) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Participants are asked to commit to being present at ALL SESSIONS and do pre-reading/viewing before the workshop and other assignments between sessions. Workshop resources are available at: www.richmondpledge.org.
The registration fee is $20 and will be collected before the first class session (waived on request – the workshop is open to everyone regardless of ability to pay). The primary goal of this workshop is to develop confidence in our abilities to: • Integrate the Coastal Virginia Pledge into our daily lives • Recognize and challenge systemic racism • Confront racism and bias in our everyday lives, and
• Take leadership in ending racism in our community, our culture, and our lives As part of the workshop, participants will develop a community of support and an understanding of how to use support in deepening their work in building a just and equitable multicultural world.

Please include any special dietary needs and whether you will be bringing children (we do have childcare available, but our provider wants a count of how many to expect). We look forward to going on this journey with you!
