New Art Show at CVUU!

The works of artist Orgia “Gia” Labidi are featured in our foyer gallery for April’s “Some Say” Exhibition.
Gia is an award-winning, self-taught artist influenced by her African and Native American heritage and sense of the divine feminine. Working in various visual mediums, including clay, wood, paper, and found objects, Labidi relies on intuition to ground her work in nature and the indigenous experience.

Labidi’s work has been exhibited nationally and
internationally for over 15 years. Pieces are included in Old Dominion University’s permanent
collection, Gyeongju Arts Center North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, and private
collections.
