Cancellations

Approach

  1. Create a sample blog entry like the one below.
  2. Edit the “Cancellation Example” carousel item to say something consistent with the blog entry About 15 words can be displayed. Use category Cancellation notice for the post.
  3. Set an appropriate Featured Image (hurricane track, icy scene, etc)
  4. Publish the blog item and the Carousel item

Sample Wording

Dear CVUU Community:
I spoke with Church President Anne Odell and Building and Grounds chair Doug Throp and we agreed:
Due to predicted ice and snow from 9 AM to Noon or so, for Sunday the 24th of January:
— The CVUU Sunday Service is cancelled.  The facility will not be safely accessible.
— Congregational Meeting is POSTPONED.  It will convene on January 31st at noon.
— If you have Facebook (or can be with someone with Facebook,) we will have FACEBOOK WORSHIP at 10 AM on Sunday Morning…
–To attend:  turn on notifications for Unitarian Church of Norfolk Community Forum  and gather around the computer, and join the conversation!!
