Board Bits from 6/15/23

The CVUU Board of Directors met on Thursday, June 15, 2023, via Zoom. Board meeting
minutes are typically available upon request from the CVUU Board Secretary or the
Congregational Administrator ( Susie Gullixson) approximately 30 days after the date of the
Board meeting. The Board meets every month, either via Zoom or in person. The meeting is
usually on the third Thursday of each month at 7 pm. The meeting is open to congregants to
observe. Congregants who want to present items to the Board must notify CVUU Board
President Steve Ciganek prior to the meeting, so they can be included on the agenda. The
following is a synopsis of pertinent items.

The next Board meeting will be July 20, 2023

Reverend Viola: We have a wonderful addition to our staff, the Rev Mark Wise, as our Director
of Lifespan Faith Development ( DLFD). There are three people from our congregation
attending GA, as well as our minister. They are Kerry Kilburn, Paul Moss, and Nikki Lucier.

Rev Mark ( DLFD): Has established three goals, including increasing attendance, offering the
Adult Formation classes and streamlining registration and data collection. OWL classes are
being planned, and Summer Intergenerational services are being organized.

Finance Committee: Pledges are coming in over budget, and we are expected to end the year in
the black. The congregation voted and approved the Y24 budget unanimously
Be on the lookout for our first-ever online auction coming in the Fall.
