The CVUU Board of Directors met on April 17, 2024, via Zoom. Board meeting minutes are typically available upon request from the CVUU Board Secretary or the Congregational Administrator, Susie Gullixson, approximately 30 days after the meeting date.
The Board meets every month, either via Zoom or in person. The meeting typically takes place on the third Thursday of each month at 7 PM. The meeting is open to congregants to observe. Congregational members who wish to present items to the Board must notify CVUU Board President David Kidd in advance of the meeting so that they can be included on the agenda. The following is a synopsis of pertinent items. The next Board meeting will be May 15, 2025.
Rev. Viola: The Pathways class was great, and 13 people joined us last Sunday. Starting July 20th – July 27th, Rev. Viola will be at Starr Island, where she has been chosen as Minister for the Week! A job title change will be announced for Rev. Mark as Minister of Lifespan and Development, effective this Sunday from the pulpit.
Rev. Mark: There were 17 teens at the Teen event in April. Another one is scheduled for May 14th. Rev. Mark also registered CVUU to be listed as a safe space for queer youth and their families with belovedarise.org. Adult classes are going well, and there are now 40 youth registered in RE. May 15th is Rev Mark’s second anniversary with us!
Finance and Stewardship: The committees continue to work diligently and tirelessly, meeting almost weekly, to finalize a budget for presentation to the congregation on June 17th.
