The CVUU Board of Directors met via Zoom and in person on December 19th, 2024. Board meeting minutes are typically available upon request from the CVUU Board Secretary or the Congregational Administrator ( Susie Gullixson) approximately 30 days after the meeting date. The Board meets every month, either via Zoom or in person. The meeting is usually on the third Thursday of each month at 7 pm. The meeting is open to congregants to observe. Congregational members who want to present items to the Board must notify CVUU Board President David Kidd before the meeting to include them on the agenda. The following is a synopsis of pertinent items. The next Board meeting will be January 16th, 2025.
REV VIOLA: Rev Viola remains on Sabbatical for December through February. During this time, our services are being led by staff, members of the congregation, and guest ministers. Pastoral Care Associates from our congregation remain available. More details are posted in our online newsletter, The Courier.
REV MARK: We are almost halfway through the RE year! There are currently 29 youth registered for RE. A Bridging and a Coming of Age ceremony and many adult RE activities are being planned, like Astronomy and the ongoing Yoga set to return after Christmas. Rev. Mark will be in the pulpit on January 5th.
Ed Welp/Finance Committee: Currently, CVUU is poised to balance the budget due to The Hague School paying off their loan and hopeful finalization of lease negotiations with ACT ( Autism Consulting Therapy), who will begin renting the third floor of CVUU Monday through Friday starting in February. The Finance Committee is also working with Towne Bank to adjust the mortgage rate. The Board also approved the appointment of Elisa Dickon to the Finance Committee.
