Big Thanks!

Edmarc, the pediatric hospice, reached out to us to see if we could let them use our social hall for their spring event planned for last Saturday, which turned out to be a rainy day.  Although we generally rent out our social hall, we waived our fees for this non-profit organization. This is a thank you from them:

Hello everyone,

Despite the rain on Saturday, our spring fling event turned out to be a huge success! We were thrilled to see so many smiling faces, as kids and families came together for a day filled with fun, food, and festivities.

The highlight of the event was the special appearances by Edmarc’s beloved mascot, Wags, and the infamous Easter Bunny. The children were overjoyed to see their favorite characters in person, and they couldn’t contain their excitement. Wags and the Easter Bunny brought an extra dose of magic and laughter to the event, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone.

The rain didn’t dampen our spirits at all. From face painting to the traditional egg hunt there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The spring fling event provided an opportunity for families to come together, bond, and create cherished memories. It was heartwarming to witness the laughter and joy that filled the air.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who made this event possible as well as our dedicated staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure its success. A special thank you to our new friends at Coastal Virginia Unitarian Universalist Church for providing the perfect location and to the Kiwanis Club of Norfolk for sponsoring and helping at the event.  Your support and enthusiasm made all the difference.

As we embrace the magic of spring you all have helped create wonderful moments that will last a lifetime.

Thank you,

Debbie L. Stitzer-Brame
