It was good to see so many of you at our first services of the regular church year. Whether you participated in the virtual service or were in The Gathering area, it was awesome to be together again. This coming Sunday we will do the same thing, hold a virtual service at 9:00 am and an in-person service at 11:00 am. If you plan on attending the in-person service, masking and physical distancing will be required. Also, please remember to register. This makes it easier to contact you if we need to make changes because of the weather.
And a resounding THANK YOU to all of the people who helped out for the service. We are still figuring things out, but if you would like to help with either the virtual service or the in-person service, please send an email to Susie Gullixson, our awesome Congregational Administrator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
And, congratulations go to Rayven Holmes! For those of you who were not at either of the services, you did not hear the news that she recently completed 75 hours of Religious Education training and received Renaissance Recognition for it.That means she was awarded a certificate and a pin! Way to go, Rayven!
Our theme this month is “Embracing Possibility.” What does the word possibility mean to you? Well, I explored that question in one of the “Rev. Viola’s Reveries” that I do for the children in our Religious Education program, and I am going to share it with you. You can see it on YouTube or on TikTok. Hyperlinks to get you there are in the text; just click!
I hope to see some of you at the Check-In and Chat at 12:00 pm on Thursday, Sept. 16th. It will be in Zoom.
Don’t forget, when we embrace the possibilities that are around us, that means we have hope for the future. To close this week, here is a song of that same name by Paul McCartney.
