The New Year is finally upon us, but it seems that the drama that made up so much of 2020 has not yet subsided. Who could have imagined that the democracy that so many of us took for granted would be assaulted by those who have sworn to uphold it?
With imagination, we can envision the best for our selves. And, unfortunately, as we have seen, for some people, the mind’s imagination can also bring forth the worst. Our hearts and minds are fertile ground for so much. And because of that, we have to learn to not only feed the flowers that grow within us, but to starve the weeds which would overcome the beauty that each of us has the capability to manifest in the world. This involves more than having an imagination, it also requires work.
