Sunday, Aug. 25th at 10:30 a.m. – “So Live Your Life: Finding a Code for Living in Poetry,” with Allen Perry. Allen’s personal touchstone poem is “Live Your Life,” as attributed to Tecumseh. He plans to talk about his family’s history with this poem and its meaning for him, as a way to invite listeners to consider the message in this particular poem and perhaps inspire them to find their own life’s work inspiration in art. Often we can find strength and motivation in art more easily than a list of principles, even when the message is the same in the end. Allen Perry has been a member of this congregation for nine years. He and his beautiful wife, Kathryn, live in Chesapeake with their awesome kids, Elizabeth and Ana.
