Coastal Virginia Unitarian Universalists invite community family and friends to it’s third annual Kwanzaa celebration. From 1 to 3 pm. Learn about Kwanzaa and partake of the film The Black Candle! Poignant & powerful, the Black Candle tells the story of this week long cultural celebration of African American culture. The family friendly celebration will continue with dynamic performances from 3-4 pm. Delicious Food, Afrocentric traditional and contemporary and handmade crafts, artwork, jewelry, home goods & accessories will be available for purchase during the Kwanzaa Bazaar from 4-7 pm. The Bazaar is open to the public in the spirit of Ujamaa, or cooperative economics, just in time for the holiday season!
